Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. As a Brick Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing brick structures, including walls, chimneys, and other masonry projects. This is a physically demanding role that requires expertise in masonry techniques and the use of various tools.

Responsibilities:
– Lay bricks to construct or repair walls, chimneys, and other structures
– Mix mortar and spread it onto bricks using trowels
– Use hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and levels to shape and align bricks
– Cut bricks to size using power saws or hand tools
– Ensure that all work meets building codes and safety standards
– Repair and replace damaged bricks or masonry units
– Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time

Requirements:
– Proven experience as a Brick Mason or similar role
– Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and materials
– Proficient in using power tools such as saws and drills
– Ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans
– Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
– Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy materials
– Attention to detail and precision in bricklaying work
– Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Construct and repair walls, foundations, chimneys, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials.

– Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of structures.

– Measure and cut materials to required specifications, using hand and power tools.

– Mix mortar and other construction materials according to established formulas.

– Lay bricks or blocks in rows, patterns, or other designs, ensuring adherence to building codes and safety regulations.

– Use levels, plumb bobs, and other measuring tools to ensure structures are level and aligned.

– Apply finishing techniques, such as smoothing and polishing, to enhance the appearance of completed structures.

– Collaborate with other construction workers, such as carpenters and cement masons, to complete projects efficiently.

– Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any maintenance or repair needs to supervisors.

– Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £26,700.00-£35,000.00 per year
